Would we tell Sex Offenders by just looking at them?

Many of sex offenders are known to the victim. they work, live or walk with them. Others of course are strangers

Who are the most Sex Offenders?

Many of the sex offenders are men although we a have a few isolated cases of women. It is true that you cannot identify a rapist by just looking at him. Many of them are just regular people who you will walk or work with without suspecting that they could turn to a rapist with the right environment.
Who do they target?
Most rapists will target vulnerable individuals who cannot fight back. Mostly they will attack a lone woman or child. We have known many sexual offenders to be familiar with their victims and they use that familiarity to lure the victim to sex. They like fantasizing the sexual act with the victim and I believe that before they commit the sexual act, they have done it in their minds with the victim already and so when the chance arises, they cannot control themselves. (This is my opinion).
Does the Environment Influence them?
Other sexual offenders don’t know their victims but they will get aroused by strange settings or in strange places that ordinarily a normal person would not get aroused. They get enjoyment watching other people having sex or undressed. They also love to watch violent acts. These and other signs would tell us if these individuals are potential sex offenders. Some of these offenders have been abused in the past and so they use this offending as an excuse to justify their pain. Many of these offenders can not maintain a relationship with the opposite sex because in their mind they don’t want a commitment or intimacy with a woman.
Are they conscious of their Act?
They know they are doing wrong to rape or offend but they do it anyway. It is like they have this strong urge that they cannot control. Many young offenders have a higher probability of reoffending than the older one. All in all, it is very difficult to tell a sexual offender by just seeing or looking at them.

Sexual Abuse and Sex Crimes

Sexual abuse and sex crimes are often confused with each other. People may not differentiate them. It is true that sexual abuse is when the offence is committed by an adult against a minor. A sex crime can be committed by a minor to a minor or by adults to adults. Many children commit sex crimes against other children and many of these crimes go unnoticed or ignored. Some boys will harass girls even in school and make it look like just youths playing while in reality it is sexual harassment. The boys will touch the girls breasts or indecently show them signs with fingers or otherwise. This kind of act should not be ignored by the authorities when it is reported, because boys could even try to rape if the environment was right for them. The age of the perpetrator should not fool the worker in ignoring the acts thinking them to be small.

Theories behind Sexual Abuse

There are many theories that have been proposed to explain why teens and some children want to sexually abuse others. Some of the theories are that these children have been exposed to violence or sexuality, early childhood experience e.g. sexual victimization, exposure to child pornography and advertising and substance abuse, heighten arousal for children and family violence. Children who sexually abuse are
More likely than grown ups to have been abused themselves either physically or sexually.

It's horrific to think that some of them are people you think you can trust. Thank you for this article

When I saw this article I thought "This is gonna be good". It's informative about certain things. For instance you say that you can't tell a sex offender if you see one. That's quite true, but you make it sound like it's something to look out for. Everyone pictures a "sex offender" with a mustache and a van with tented windows. That's not true. There are alot of ways to get onto the registry.
For instance, indecent exposure or the simplest things.
A woman lying after she has sex with a man, and says that he raped her. It sounds to me like you're a little sexist. You have alot of assumptions in your article and not enough facts. I think there are alot of words in there like "majority", "most", and "they". The reason why the women that are on there is because they had sex with their kids, more than likely.
Most sex offenders, we can't say what they do or don't do because we haven't actually talked to "most sex offenders". No I don't believe that people on the registry fantasized about doing whatever it is that they did. I know for a fact that, through talking to a therapist who had been doing the job for a long time, most sex offenders made a bad decision because they did something spontaneous without thinking it through.
I did notice that you didn't clarify that not every person on the registry is a monster. I know, I had to go through a year and a half of a sex offender treatment program where I got to hear from other sex offenders who the majority were older men in their 40's up to 60's.
I don't think it's right at all. To put all these different people clumped together for different crimes and call them sex offenders. Frankly it's aggrivating and annoying. I know, I'm on the sex offender registry. So I guess you could say I'm technically a "sex offender". I think that there should be different lists and different levels.
I don't find people's ignorance on this subject to be amusing at all. It's actually really sad. That's my comment.

All in males. Who have been sexually abused. Why females. My survivor teacher who is female. Once told me. It's like walking along. And before you know it. It's like hitting quicksand. You didn't see it coming. And it feels like it's too late. By the way.
I felt just as helpless. 2 males. Which side sodomized maine. I asked. Andy 1. Who has been molested or raped. 2 bravely speak out. No matter who it was.
