What If Jesus Never Died (Part One)

His own people rejected him? If our salvation is based on the notion that Jesus died for our sins, what if he was still alive like he'd said he'd be and emphatically proved; he was the Messiah? What happens to our salvation? Just think about it. This is what has been eating me up inside.

Are We Lost On Our Way To Heaven

If Jesus is truthful, then he was still alive. So, what makes us say he died for our sins when he'd said he'd never die? Is it our love for him or mere selfishness and sheer sinfulness that we can't just do a good deed and repent our sins which compels us to seek easy salvation even in a belief that repels, annoys and strips him of his very Messiah-ship? like Luke 18:19 What if despite their rejection Jesus was The Christ and never died? Isn't a belief in his death in itself a sign of unbelief? Are we on our way or lost our way to heaven and we’re heading to hell?

Is Jesus a liar? Did Jesus lie when he said he'd never die? If he's the way, could he make false prophecies? If we say he died, who's lying? Aren’t we declaring him a sinner and must die for his own sins,(Romans 4.15) or a liar and that he isn't Christ? Who should we trust?
Jesus is the authority here. Anyone who contradicts him, be it The Pharisees, Peter, Paul or any other disciple or preacher, whoever it is; is a liar and will only lead us astray.

Rejecting Jesus

Was Jesus' mission of death or restoration? If we accept his death, do we believe in Jesus or in those who rejected him who at any cost, wanted to kill him, and about such success, they did boast?

Is salvation bodily or spiritual, anyway? If they killed him, was his spirit killed too? Why hinge salvation solely on what only happens to the body instead of his life and teachings which were spiritual? If we reject Jesus by endorsing his death, who are declaring our hero?

Judas

If our salvation's only attainable through his death, shouldn't we praise those who made it happen? If death's our goal, shouldn't we honor the scorer? Why is Judas a villain? How would he have betrayed him if the role he played accomplished Jesus’ mission? Shouldn't we all including Jesus owe him a hug and a big pat on the back?

Isn't that one of the dangers of believing in his death? Doesn't that reduce Jesus to a mere ball that's kicked around? Sadly, nobody celebrates the ball but rather the goal and the scorer becomes a hero. Isn't it clear that Jesus therefore can't be that hero? Can Israel really be blamed for rejecting him? But the truth is;

Jesus Is The Hero

Believing; nothing's impossible with God, Jesus took up the challenge and rose not from the beaten up to death guy but to the occasion and beat every odd stacked against him.

It can't be denied. Jesus defied death. Accepting him as one's personal savior means Judas, The self-righteous Pharisees and everybody who acts against good, alienates and eliminates honest people for their selfish interests, were all defeated. So, let's all join hands and encourage each other to do good for the sake of humanity.

Hahahahaha! You can say that again my dear friend. You know what? She really doesn't care about me and my well-being and the fact that my happiness owes a lot to my being happily married.

So, let's wish her "A safe journey" in her search for her Mr. Right and consider me, "The one she never caught and never saw but got away!"
