The modern lifestyle is changing into more consumerist. Eating habits are changing. A kitchen, which was mainly used for cooking and sharing experience is losing its place in the modern culture, promoted by globalized commercialism. What happens to our kitchens?

Kitchen has been the place of sharing love

East or west home is the best. Inside a house the kitchen occupies the most important place. In olden days, we can even say that the kitchen was the sanctuary of the house. It has been the place of sharing love and relationship. But what happens to the modern kitchens?

Kitchen has been the place of sharing love

There can be no doubt that the kitchen is the key-point of a house. In most of the houses the kitchen and dining place are the same. The kitchen has been the place of love and affection where we could find a cup of tea to boost our energy and share our affection with our family members.

Kitchen the primary clinic!

The kitchen has been the clinic that stored the instant remedies for our temporary illnesses. It has been the place of indelible memories where we sat together for hours to share our feelings and emotions. Our moms and grand-moms had their remedies in the kitchen, ready to be used for any emergency!

No more cooking at home!

But what is the role of a kitchen in the modernized culture? The house is empty most of the time! How do we use a kitchen? What is the need for a place called kitchen since we do not cook and we eat fast food or junk food outside our houses? Only heating and eating! Snacking has become the fashion of the day. Then why do we need a place of kitchen?

No more sharing at home!

The importance of sharing also is being lost in the modern lifestyle and we share most of our time in front of computers and other monitors. Is it still the place of building up affection?

Life style is changing. Kitchens are disappearing from the houses. Are we forgetting the kitchen in our house?

I think was is happening is that many families are living on the run, fast food restaurants, and too much time on computer, so everyone lives on their own world, it is sad, but it is true.
You really wrote a great post.

We do still use the kitchen more and plan on reducing outside eating even more.

kitchen for us is the two major things we invest and gold standard for a pleasant home..the equal second is the toilet/bathroom.
