The Sky High Wedding - Traditional ceremonies in the worlds most untraditional places

Let the spirit world guide you...down the isle

Sure, you could go to Scotland and get married in any ole' castle, or better yet get married in a haunted house! Now let's consider the thought of combining the two, and you end up with quite the other worldly event on your hands.

One such location is the Tutbury Castle in Staffordshire, UK. Previously a prison to Mary Queen of Scots during Queen Elizabeth's reign, this castle has more recently been known for its ghost sightings as well. This historical beauty has opened its doors for many weddings and events, alongside their ghost hunts and picnics.

According to their website, the castle was originally built in 1071 and has gone through several bouts of destruction and rebuilding. The current "ruins" overlook breathtaking views and provide the fantasy wedding of your dreams, while still keeping you on the lookout for a spirit or two!

A vampiric fortress

Since we are on the subject of castles, let's turn our attention to the darker side of your special day. When most people hear the word vampire, their first thought goes to every movie that ever romanticized the sharp toothed beings. Whichever version of vampire you prefer (and there are many), this venue can deliver ten fold.

Bran Castle, located in Bran Romania, was the birthplace to Bram Stoker's fictional novel, Dracula. Written in 1897, this dark character has prevailed through the ages, appearing in books, television, movies, you name it.

This 800 year old castle is rich in history and surrounded by brilliantly lush landscapes. If ever you were looking for a truly unique ceremony that ties into your love of the darkness, you may just have found your venue!

Floating Ceremony

We have all seen photos of underwater bride and grooms, skydiving couples saying "I do" and some that have their nuptials deep in the forest. While these all are sure to provide a beautiful and unique surrounding, nothing quite compares to being elevated 164 feet in the air, and hovering there for your first dance and dinner with your guests.

Dinner In The Sky Events caters to several occasions all around the world, from a 22 seat table that rises high in the sky for a truly unique experience. Bride and Groom are placed safely in the center where they can have their first dance, then strapped into their own seats for dinner and music. During the night, the table lights up and you are treated to the stunning views of the city.

This company really takes "Love is in the air" to a whole new level!

Alaskan Glacier

Perhaps you are a bride or groom that is looking for something a little "cooler" for your big day. Well, look no further when it comes to Alaska's exquisite glaciers.

For years, couples have come to this breathtaking location to discover the beauty that lies in its icy landscape. Many wedding packages include helicopter in and out of the glaciers for yourself and up to three guests, along with an officiant.

If you don't mind the chill, you will happily walk away with spectacular photos and quite an adventure to start your new life with!
