The Bible teaches that there is only one way to get to Heaven, through Jesus Christ.

There Is Only One Way To Get To Heaven

There is only one way to get to Heaven. Is this really true? According to Scripture the answer is a resounding yes! Jesus tells us in John 14:6: “I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Acts 4:12 states: “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Pretty simple when you read it that way isn't it? John 3:16 says this: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
In today's world we are doing our level best to replace God with anything. We have so many “alternatives” to getting to Heaven now it makes a person dizzy trying to keep up with it all. We have rocks, gems, meditation, Eastern Religions, Western Religions, middle Eastern Religions, mid-west religions. We worship cars, cats, dogs, french fries that look like the Mother Mary or Abraham Lincoln. We have a universe that gives us anything we want as long as we do things correctly and in the right order.
We have pastors that don't believe in God preaching our churches. We have a church for anything but God. We have quit taking our kids to church to help teach them not only about God and Jesus, but how to be a good all around person. Now we have a society of “me.” People don't respect anything or anyone, but themselves and how it fits what they want. Divorce is over the top because someone dares to tell the other one “no.” And we still don't want to hear the truth. We go to churches to pretend to be a Christian and pray away the conviction but live like the devil when we're not in a pew. If our pastors dare teach the truth from the Bible, they're in big trouble, so many of them don't
Look, I'm not saying that we are doomed to hell, because it simply isn't true. But we do need to look for answers to our biggest plight in life: where are we going to go when we die? It's the absolute biggest decision you'll ever make. Bigger than buying a house, or having another child, or who do you marry, or any other earthly decisions. The decision to make Heaven your eternal home is worth some deep investigation. At least give it a few minutes of your time. It could mean an eternity in Heaven. If you want to go to Heaven to be with God, Jesus and all the other people of the Bible, perhaps Reading the Bible is a good place to start. It's the “rulebook” if you will. The book itself is a miracle as it was written over hundreds of years and in various parts of the earth at that time. The Bible is what Christians use as their road map to get to Heaven. The Bible is very clear that there is only one way to get to Heaven. I didn't write the Bible, but I can quote it.
I've quoted some Scriptures at the very beginning of this article. I would encourage you to look them up for yourselves and read the entire passage, not the just the verses I placed in here. It will help you know what was going on around the time these Scriptures took place and why it was stated the way it is.
Romans 10:9 says this: “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Again, Jesus is the only way to get into Heaven. Asking forgiveness of your sins and changing your ways is all it takes. God is going to help you change your ways, so don't worry about that part. Once you've accepted Christ as your Savior, the Holy Spirit comes in and becomes your rudder. He points out things you should change, things to do or not do. And because of this, your desires will change; meaning your behavior and attitudes will change as well. So if you're worried about having to “give up” something you like, it's not that difficult to “give up” if you don't want to participate in it any longer.
Being a Christian is easier than you might think. You're still going to have issues and heartaches, but now you have someone to ask for advice, through prayer. You're still going to blow it big time once in a while too. But when you do, you know to pray and ask forgiveness now. So don't believe that lie about Christians being a bunch of people that don't have any fun. There's more fun as a Christian than there is as a sinner. We still have parties, laugh and giggle, watch sporting events and play sports, sing and dance and all that stuff. And we enjoy friends that don't lead us down a road to destruction. But friends that you can count on when the chips are down and bad things happen. Friends that you can confide in and tell deep secrets to. Us Christians have a good life that the world hates. We're happier than most other people. We have good attitudes and are optimistic. You would be too if you knew that you were going to spend eternity in Heaven without a doubt.
You can do this. This Christian life is the bomb and it's there for the asking. All you have to do is ask God to forgive your sins. It really is that simple. So go ahead and ask. Say a prayer something like this: “God, I know I'm a sinner. Please forgive me of all of my sins and cleanse my life. Help me to live the life I have to, in order to live with You when it's my time. Thank you Lord. Amen.” It really is that simple. If you prayed that prayer, you are now a Christian and I bet you feel a little differently on the inside too.
Now, find a good Bible teaching church on your area. Make some good friends there too. If your single, do the same thing; find a church and make some friends. Invite your friends to go with you and perhaps you can have Christian friends that you've known for years. Find a Christian music station on the radio and listen to it a lot. Read you Bible and pray every day without exception. This is the most important part of your day, regardless of your occupation. This is the time you'll spend with God alone. He'll talk to you while you're reading the Bible and praying, and it's the most awesome thing to experience. The maker of the universe and everything in it, talking with you. What could be more awesome than that? You're going to be a great Christian. I believe in you already.
