The Two Mugs

Let me introduce you to my mugs. Two interesting mugs with conflicting thoughts.

The Two Mugs

Mug #1: Here comes the morning ... Smile! let’s enjoy the new day!
Mug #2: I’m still tired... I’m not in the mood today.

Those are my mugs. I just noticed them again while preparing to go outside. Guess they’ve been whispering conflicting thoughts to me this morning.

The unhappy mug expects another day of work. With more tasks to accomplish, the day could be a drag. And he is about to give a lot of sighing and frowning. He’s always not in the mood because he knows that unfavorable circumstances might arise again (and again).

On the other hand, the second mug looks cheerful. He decided to fix a smile on his face. He’s looking at the brighter side. Whether overwhelmed or not, he simply enjoy the day. Maybe he’s in denial (sometimes) but it seems that things are working in his favor. He has mastered the art of being hopeful. (and I envy him!)

Anyway, today can be a mixture of both. There’ll be joys and some worries too. Nevertheless, I should keep the happy mug by my side. Better take a sip often and be reminded that my attitude plays a vital part.

The attitude is very important. Because, your behavior radiates how you feel. ~Lou Ferrigno

Profound thoughts but stated in simple words. We have to fight negative thoughts all the time, a reality of life - also one of the classic duality of creation. Our attitude decides our altitude finally - siva
