Taking Care

I'm helping take care of an elderly relative.Things I do for her to help.

My grandmother is in her 80s now. She has lived with my family for a year. I moved in with my parents in June, and now I help to take care of her. What I do is take her food to her, clean up messes she makes, take coffee to her, take her medications to her.

My mother takes her to her doctor appointments and also helps out if I am not home with feeding her, and getting her something if she asks for it.

My grandmother is funny. She tells stories, and says funny things like 'Weeeeeeeeeee, buddy!' She makes me laugh. Which is always a good thing.

awwww how sweet, you're a great granddaughter.
My Nana lived to be 100 before she passed and I enjoyed every minute with her, as you seem to be with yours. Good for you hon.

They are treasure trove of family snippets - looking after them cuts both ways, we should have the right attitude - siva
