This page is about a spiritual abuse that I witnessed while visiting a church. The congregation was informed they were going to be cursed for the omission of enough money to suit their leader.

Curses: Good or Bad Religion

I took my family to visit a church yesterday. It was a medium size congregation of less than 400 people. The congregation had a simple praise and worship. They song two nice songs. Then the minister took the podium. He seemed very irritated. He informed his members that he "was not clear ( dark side coming out) and that he would no longer pray for them. No longer would he offer scripture or advise to help them with their problems. They were now on their own". He also stated "God told him not to pray for his people any longer".

I was in total shock. Even more shocking was his explanation as to why "God told him to do these things". The congregation had not supported him by coming out to the last couple of events he and his family had sponsored. Therefore not very much money was raised. This man even went a step further and stated "because the congregation had not given him what he felt was enough money, they were all going to be cursed. They would not have enough money for their rent and mortgages, car payments and food. Their children were going to cause them all types of trouble".

I thought WOW! Why should a man of God claim his "dark side". Isn't this a form of witchcraft? I knew this did not sound proper coming from a man of God, because God is Love. If a minister refuses to help his congregation, how can they grow and expand? How can he be successful? In the bible it is stated that Those who restrain prayer, prove that they know not God; for those who know him will seek him, and seek his favour. And in Jeremiah 23:2 the verse states:Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: "Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done," declares the LORD.

What is really going on in the world of religion? Are the ministers making money their new god? Our omnipotent God instructs his ministers to care for their congregation. What I witnessed was not care at all. It more or less seemed like hatred. The people became very quiet and speechless. I could see hopelessness and sorrows in their faces. I felt very sorry for them. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. I could never even imagine living under that type of leadership. As stated before, God is love. If a minister states he is no longer going to pray, it is like saying he is now longer going to love. I also felt sadly for that minister because from my experience and knowledge of God, I know God will probably make an example of him and his family.

I have seen news reports of some very famous ministers behaving like this over money or getting what they want. It is very unfortunate because when God calls his servants, they are called to teach and spread his good news. People of God should not try to curse each other. They should pray one for another. They should also attempt to help each other if possible. When curses are brought into the body of Christ by evil men, No one wins

Thanks for sharing your article. So many unrighteous things are done in the name of religion. I've never understood it.
