Open the Door to your own power of creation. Change your World to what it should be.
Transform Walls to a new reality. Why settle for just walls?

Open The Door to Creation

The Key to your power is to make everything easy by breaking it down into steps. Take a note pad and put down what you want the wall to look like. If you don't have a clue, the fun starts now. Put a blank page in front of you. This is your wall. Think of what that wall needs to make you feel Balanced. The first door is open, you can do anything you want to this wall with no problems. Think of everything you add as a tile, (pictures, shelves, etc..). This process will work for almost any project. Ask others for input, look at existing work for ideas. Now start researching products available in you'r area. I always go to show rooms on line and in stores to get ideas and find the right Wall Tile and Inspiration to create the wall. Put your ideas on the wall. I like to use graft paper and draw in my ideas. If there are samples of what you like put them or printed copies for detail along side for perspective. Once your happy and sure practice by placing things on a real wall temporary and get feedback. However if it doesn't matter what others think you now have all the power, so start designing walls!

Changing Your World

Preparing for change Starts with making a list of what will have to be done. For the sample project it was like this. A. Gather tools for demo and repair. B. Plan for removal of trash and put protective coating on floor. C. Turn off water to tub faucet. D. Remove tub faucet and drain. E. Chisel off strips of old tile from top to bottom at the corners of both sides and back of the tub, then at 16" on center from both corners. F. Cut the dry wall along the sides and top edge of the tile then down the strips being careful not to cut anything behind the dry wall. G. Remove the sections of drywall with tile to trash. H. If the toilet is not in the way remove the tub. I. Vacume and disinfect the area. J. Rough in new plumbing and install shower pan. K. Install drywall/backer, tape and finish. With the list completed it's time to get any DIY Manuals you need. See Links at Top.

Your New Reality

Using solid/rigid material like Porcelain, ceramic, etc.. have certain limitations and require definite forethought and planing.
What ever pattern or material you use Fallow These Rules! 1. Make sure the wall surface is very even/flat or you will have tile rocking like a teeter-totter. 2. Measure the wall and tile dimensions precisely remembering to include the spacing planning the layout. I like placing a full run on the floor to compare with the wall. 3. Always find and mark a plumb vertical center line on the wall from top to bottom and a level horizontal center line side to side. This will help line up the tile going from one wall to the next. 4. Try to set tiles so all cut edges butt into corners otherwise there will be extra work dealing with unfinished edges. 5. Always read and fallow the Material Manufactures Instructions.

Thank You, My effort on this project was primarily installing the material. I enjoy helping to make others ideas become reality. Most of us have many ideas left UN expressed. So I encourage everyone to ask for help to learn new skills.

I have to get at things from every angle to learn them. I do ok with blue prints and technicle data, but I like hands on learning. Every mistake is a question to an answer
