Salute The Right Flag

Wishing you all a happy 4th of July. With my wish is I wonder about your patriotic pledge.

Which Flag Will You Salute

I wonder how many Christians will salute the flag and pledge their allegiance to a fallen America. No doubt many Christians will also pledge allegiance to an America which no longer exists.

Would Christians not do far better if we saluted the Christian flag and pledged our allegiance to the coming Kingdom and its King - Jesus Christ? The Bible teaches that Christians are really citizens of another country - a much higher country - a righteous country. see Revelation Chapter 21

In the book of Hebrews Chapter 11 we read of faithful saints from the past who lived their lives looking for (waiting in hope) for a far better country than their earthly country. That far country is the New Jerusalem on the renewed earth.

Again I suggest that Christians be true to their heavenly country by saluting the Christian flag and pledging their support to the King of that coming country, Jesus Christ.

Have a happy 4th and GOD BLESS

I went to a church where I would move the Christian flag to the right side of the platform giving it a higher honor than the American flag. Someone always changed it back. Not sure if they ever knew it was me doing that...and I never knew who moved it back.

Kudos to you, Tony.

Although our government and majority of citizens wouldn't agree the Christian flag most assuredly rates a higher position on the flag pole than any country flag including the American flag.

Evidently the person who kept moving the flags after you gave the Christian flag highest honors is not a true Christian or he/she would agree with your action.

We saluted the Christian flag at our church last Sunday.

Thanks, Bill Harbin for your
comment. I would like to know what your thoughts are on the matter.

I personally find it unfaithful for Christians to be reciting a pledge of allegiance to any country that spurns God..
