Rocky Balboa Comes Back from Certain Defeat

In those movies, Rocky Balboa would come back from impossible odds...he would stage a comeback. You can too...

I have watched Rocky Balboa come from behind a gazillion times. How can you forget Rocky Balboa seemingly beat into oblivion…and suddenly you hear the music? Somewhere out of nowhere, Rocky stumbles to his feat and draws on a supernatural strength. In fact, I am thinking I want that music played at my funeral…but, don’t stand too close…it might bring me back from the dead.

Jesus made a tremendous “comeback”. It seemed that on Friday all was lost…here he was crucified and dying. But, as Tony Campolo states so eloquently, “That was Friday, but Sunday’s a comin’.” Someone else has said Christ only needed the tomb for the weekend.

What are you going through today…sickness…death of a family member…financial ruin? God is waiting to step in when you acknowledge Him with your whole heart. It may be a dark Friday in your life…but, resurrection is coming…if you accept Jesus Christ as Senior Partner in your firm. It’s all about allowing Him to manage your life…moving you off the throne of your life and allowing Jesus to take his rightful place sitting on that throne.
