The question is if you are going to worry ~ why spend time praying? If you're going to pray ~ in faith ~ about your situation ~ there is absolutely no reason to worry!

What Is A Temptation

A temptation is a strong desire to do ~ or say ~ something that you already know you should not do or say.

The following is an example of what temptation looks like ~ as shown in our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching in chapter four of the Gospel of Luke:

Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.

And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”

But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”

Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”

And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord
your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”[

What Does It Mean To Worry

One of the definitions for the word 'worry' in Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary ~ Tenth Edition is: a cause or occasion of enticement.

To worry means to be subject to persistent or nagging attention to a problem ~ either real or imagined.

As a practical matter ~ worry is a troubled heart. In our Creator's Wonderful Book Of Teaching on Life and Love ~ we find that ~ Jesus says in John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

So ~ when we worry ~ we are ~ in effect ~ violating Scripture ~ which is why you may read about ~ or hear ~ Ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ ~ saying that to worry is sin.

Why Do People Worry

In a nutshell ~~ people worry because they ~ we ~ do not fully trust God ~~ in that particular area. They ~ we ~ fear that He may not come through for them ~ not being cognizant at that moment ~ that they can be confident of what is shown in the last part of Psalm 56:9 ~ ". . . I know that God is for me!

What Then Is The Answer?

The answer is to start where you are. We're all at different levels of maturity. We do not expect a ten year old to respond to a certain dilemma in the same manner that a fifty year old would.

As shown in our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching in Proverbs 3 ~ the answer is to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways ~ acknowledge Him ~ and ~ He will direct your paths." Make a decision to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength ~ and to ~ TRUST HIM. It has to start with a decision.

Realize that ~ on your own ~ without His help ~ this is impossible. HOWEVER ~ The Lord Jesus Christ makes this astounding statement in our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching on Life and Love in verse twenty-three of the ninth chapter of the Gospel of Mark in the New King James Version: “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

Then digging more deeply ~ into our Creator's Wonderful Book of Teaching on Life and Love ~ we discover this great admonition in verse fifteen of the third chapter of the New Testament Book of First Peter ~ Amplified Bible ~ we're told: But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully.

This is ~ VITALLY IMPORTANT: IN YOUR HEART ~ SET CHRIST APART. ACKNOWLEDGE HIM ~ AS LORD ~ over every area of your life. ALLOW HIM ~ to do the work ~ in you ~ WHICH HE DESIRES to do

It is not easy ~ BUT ~ YES WE CAN ~ get to the point ~ where we are able to ~ RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO WORRY!
