Recipe : Classic Beef Stew

This recipe is good for the health.Try to cook this and share its tasty to your lovely family and friends.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 pound beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch chunks

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce

3 cups water

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 zucchini, cut into 1/2-inch chunks

3 carrots, cut into 1/2-inch chunks

1 onion, cut into chunks

1 teaspoon browning and seasoning sauce


Preparations:

1. Place the flour in a shallow dish; add the beef chunks, and toss to coat

completely.

2. In a soup pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef; saute for 8 to

10 minutes, until browned on all sides.

3. Add the tomato sauce, water, rosemary, salt, and pepper; mix well and bring to

a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.

4. Add the remaining ingredients, increase the heat to high and return to a boil.

5. Reduce the heat to low; simmer for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the beef and

vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.

Recipe: Cabbage Lover's Turkey Sausage Stew

Ingredients:

1 pound turkey sausage, sliced diagonally

1 onion, sliced

2 carrots, sliced diagonally

2 cups shredded green cabbage

1 cup 98% fat-free, low sodium chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparations:

1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook turkey sausage, onion, and carrots 8-10

minutes or until no longer pink, stirring occasionally.

2. Add cabbage, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and cook 3 to 4 minutes, stirring

occasionally.

3. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer until

cabbage is tender.

Recipe: Warming Beef Stew

6 potatoes, peeled and quartered

6 carrots, cut into large chunks

3 onions, quartered

1 teaspoon browning and seasoning sauce

Preparations:

1. Place flour in shallow dish; add beef chunks and coat completely with flour.

2. In soup pot, heat oil over medium-high heat; add beef and brown on all sides 8 to 10 minutes.

3. Add water, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper to beef; mix well and bring to boil.

4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 1 hour.

5. Add remaining ingredients, increase heat to high and return to boil.

6. Reduce heat to low and simmer 50 to 60 minutes, or until beef and vegetables are

tender, stirring occasionally.

Recipe: Peasant's Fish Stew

Ingredients:

1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced

2 onions, thinly sliced

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 (28-ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained and quartered

1/2 cup dry white wine

1/2 cup clam juice

2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 bay leaf

3/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 pound cod fillets, cut into 2-inch chunks

1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and devinne, with tails left on
1 pound little neck clams

Preparations:

1. Spray a 6-qt. soup pot with nonstick cooking spray and heat over high heat.

2. Add the mushrooms, onions, and garlic, and cook for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the

vegetables are tender, stirring often.

3. Stir in the tomatoes, wine, clam juice, basil, oregano, bay leaf, and pepper and

bring to a boil.

4. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. Uncover, increase

the heat to high, and bring to a boil.

5. Add the fish and cook for 5 minutes.

6. Add the shrimp and clams and cook for 3 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork, the shrimp are pink and cooked through, and the clams are open, stirring occasionally.

Recipe: Eggplant-Veggie Stew

This recipe is good for the entire family.

Ingredients:

1 (1-pound) eggplant, peeled, cubed

1 package (12-ounce) frozen seasoning blend (celery, onions, peppers, parsley)

1 zucchini, sliced

1/2 cup reduced-sodium pasta sauce

Preparations:

1 Combine eggplant, seasoning blend, zucchini and 2 tablespoons water in large heavy pan.

2. Heat until mixture boils, then reduce heat to low and cover.

3. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender and drain.

4. Return eggplant mixture to pan. Add pasta sauce and stir until sauce heats through.
