The identify thief I am referring to in this article is about your identity with Jesus. Don’t let Satan steal your identity that you have with Jesus. All Satan wants to do is steal who you are and what you can become and take all of what God has given to you. All of the areas listed below are things that Satan uses to slowly try to take control of your life.

Steal your identity

This is a high profile subject especially these in days with the internet and credit cards and the many other ways for people to steal your identity.

Ignorance- One of the most deadly enemies of our soul and what you don’t know can hurt you. Satan doesn’t want you to know that he is out to steal your soul.

Shame- Sucks away your joy and steals your creative ability. Shame also can make you feel like you’re a burden or not needed and cause you to withdraw from those around you. This device of our enemy Satan is designed to bring you down.

Family- We are either accepted, approved and loved – or rejected, disowned and treated with indifference. Family is one of the many ways that we have our identity and that’s why Satan wants to divide and separate and destroy relationships.

Appearance- If you could change your looks to be that perfect person that you think you should be. When you were created in the womb of your mother God knew what you would look like as you grew and became older.

God don’t create mistakes but Satan wants you to believe that you are a mistake and that you will be and do better in life if you looked different. If you will allow Jesus to change the inside of you beginning with your heart you will see a whole new you and this is a free makeover of your life.

Success- Making the most of your life is good unless it consumes you totally. Anything that controls your life so much that it seems addictive and you just got to have it is your god and you are a slave to it.

The Past- Through our past experiences and behavior the past keeps us from knowing who we are in Christ. Holding on to the past keeps us living in the past and with all of its problems.

The past is like a chain and ball attached to your leg and until you give Jesus your past you will continue to drag your past with you. Give your past to Jesus and he will take the key and unlock the chain and ball that has kept you bound and you will be free to live.

Our Selves- We have memorized every experience and every pain and we have identified with those memories that we have come to know ourselves only in them.

Memories are like mountains and Jesus tells us in Matthew 21:21 if we have faith we can talk to the mountain and tell it to be cast away into the sea. This bible truth can be applied to all those bad or unpleasant memories and as you believe that Jesus can take away and heal you of these past memories of pain you will become a new person with new life.

Believe in the bible, Jesus and God to keep his promises. Have Faith, Hope, Love.
Don't let Satan steal from you.
