No Need To Be Uneasy

Don't waste valuable time worrying about what you're going to eat or what you will wear. Seek first His Kingdom. Then all these things ~ and more ~ will be added.

Maintain Proper Perspective

There are great and valuable lessons to be learned from our Creator's Book of Life and Love in Chapter Six of the Gospel of Matthew.

Here we find extremely beneficial information that will enable us to keep the proper perspective regarding fashion and food:

Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater than food, and the body than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?

In addition to that ~ think about our tendency or temptation to worry sometimes ~ even about things that are actually quite insignificant in the total scheme of things.

Now consider the following question hidden in verse twenty-seven ~ also in The Amplified Bible:

And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?

Now ~ Obviously ~ the clear answer to that question is: No one can!

Why Be Anxious?

So ~ Now let's take a look at the extraordinarily wonderful benefits mentioned in the following three verses:

And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin.

Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence (excellence, dignity, and grace) was not arrayed like one of these.

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you? . . .

WOW. Woohoo. My ~ My ~ My! Think about that for a moment ~ and realize that:

You can ~ if you choose to ~ BUT ~ You really do not have to worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?

WHY? How Come?? BECAUSE! Because of What??? Because ~ your Heavenly Father ~ The Creator of the universe ~ already knows full well that you need them all.

Seek First The Kingdom

So ~ the question now is ~ WHAT IS THE CONCLUSION to all this? The answer is:

SEEK (aim at and strive after) FIRST of all HIS KINGDOM and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

Let's realize that ~ after all ~ The Kingdom of God is not a matter of ~ getting ~ the food and drink ~ one likes ~ but. instead ~ It is righteousness ~ that state which makes a person acceptable to God ~ and heart peace and joy ~ in the Holy Spirit. {Romans 14}

So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.
