My Father Has Passed Away

This is Death. It is a very real part of life. The end of life. No, the beginning of a NEW life whose understanding can only be acquired through Faith.

Death: The Ulitimate Loneliness for the Living

When that final day arrives....... And it has.

Eighty-nine years seems like such a short life when your loved ones are no longer here. Yes, I am consoled somewhat by the fact that I was with him when his soul left this world; that I was able to shut the eyes that will only now behold an endless, eternal light.

My father was surrounded by his 3 children and 2 grandchildren. We held his hand until the very end, and our last breaths were with his. Now that I am in this position let me be quite clear to all--Death is NOT the end, but a NEW Beginning. The righteous die in order to (begin to) live. If we cry, we cry only for ourselves, for our loss, and for our own deep secret, that only time stands in the way, for we too shall follow this very path. It is our reawakening to take stock and make sure we sufficiently prepare ourselves for this ultimate journey that no one ever escapes. And as for my dear father, he no longer has to carry this fear with him.
May He Rest in Peace, Amen!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Everyone has to take the next step at some point in time. When our body can no longer take the strain we have to get ready and in fact is a relief in the end - siva

Death is not loss of Life.
It's the loss of our minds and our bodies. That's all.

We will certainly meet again with the beloved ones, meeting all over from the beginning. Once again.
