This will be the longest holiday of your life, so make the most of it!

Some Ideas.

Make some money:

If you’re at university, the tuition fees and accommodation
fees can be anything up to £12,000 per year. If you have three months (for example) away from university, you have a good chance to earn a fair amount of cash. If you can keep your loans down to a minimum, you might find that you owe a lot less come the end of your degree.. which is a great relief when you find that you don’t have to pay as much back.
Chill out!

If you’ve worked hard all year, you need to give yourself chance to relax. Why not go down to your local library and borrow a couple of good books, then you can sit with an ice cold drink and have some ”me time”.
Get fit:

If you’re anything like a lot of students that I’ve met in the past, you won’t have done all that much exercise whilst you’ve been at university. Also, you might have been eating a lot of junk food to help you to cope with the stress of university life. If this sounds like you, then why not try to do something about it during the summer holiday? Just go out for a walk every now and then, or possibly buy an excercise DVD and work out to that for a couple of days. Or, vow to do 10 sit ups before you get up, and before you go to bed every day. That way, you’re already burning more calories than you would have done at university.
Travel:

It doesn’t have to be abroad, because there is so much that you can see in your own country. Search for attractions in your home town and a couple of surrounding towns, and I bet you’ll be surprised with what you can find. Take a friend, take lots of photos, and have a whale of a time.
Start work for the new term!

If you already know what subjects you’ll be doing the next year, why not read up about them? If you’ll a little bit ahead, then you’ll find assignments a lot easier and therefore won’t have to spend as much, or stress out as much, as you might have done in the past.
