Kenyan Food

If you are you are intending to visit any part of Kenya, it is wise to be familiar with the kind of food that you are likely to be served. Apart from being a basic need, food served in Kenya is used as a form of communication. The type of food served and the amount can say a lot about the host and the relationship between the host and the guests. For example during a Meru wedding ceremony, one would expect to be served with plenty of mashed potatoes with black beans , meat, chicken, porridge and tea. The attached photos show the kind of food guests would expect to find in a wedding ceremony. Remember the host cooks enough for the invited and the uninvited guest including birds
