Do you worry about facing God on Judgment day? You don't need to do that. This article will show you why.

We needn't worry about judgment

How many of us worry about standing before God on Judgment day? I've been guilty of that at times, but not normally. Why? I don't need to, and neither do you, unless you're not a Christian. Then I would worry a lot!
Okay Mister smart guy, why don't you worry about the coming judgment? For several reasons is my answer. But allow me to get to that specific answer in a minute. Instead, let me show you why. In Romans 2:16 it tells us that God is going to “judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.” Oh that's great news! And in John's Gospel it tells us in chapter 3 verse 16: “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Oh ya Baby!! That's great news!!!
So if we believe in Christ, we have an advocate when it comes to the judgment. If that doesn't lift your spirit, you might be dead inside. That's what I'm counting on. I've been a scum sucking ball more than once in my lifetime. I'm pretty sure you have been too. In fact, language that is more harsh is indicated in my case. We have all fallen short of the goal, but it's Jesus who picks us up and gets us there. Jesus stands in that gap for us. There are kinds of things I can say about what Jesus has done for us, but the bottom is this; Jesus made a way for us to pass the judgment and enter into Heaven.
Here are some other Scriptures to back this up: Galatians 2:20 tells us: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
John 3:36: “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
And that's why I don't worry about the coming judgment. I just don't need to and neither do you.
You see, God sent Jesus down to Earth to walk and talk and live right beside us. So God is not a God that is out of touch with those who believe in Him and follow Him. He knows exactly what we're dealing with and experiencing. He knows our hearts and our very thoughts. In Psalms 44:21 the Bible tells us that God knows the secrets of our heart. So he knows our intentions, if they are good or evil. For instance lust is a condition of the heart or thought if you will. Something we won't have a problem with if we follow Christ. With Christ Jesus walking next to us and advocating before the Father on our behalf, we almost have a get out of jail free card. We do have to obey God's directions and practice them. Even when we lose our temper in heavy traffic. Good luck on that one buddy!
1 Corinthians 5:17 says to us: “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature, the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”
Colossians 3:1 tells us: “If you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” So basically we need to press in towards Christ in order to keep ourselves worthy of Heaven. Of we know how impossible it is to go through a day without sinning. In a society where Christ is despised and Christianity has been so watered down and compromised, we have got to ask forgiveness on a continual basis. Things that never happened in a church in decades past are commonplace today. So guard your heart. Read your bible daily and spend time in prayer also.
I can remember when I was a kid the Dodgers were losing a lot of games. Tommy Lasorda their manger was beside himself and not a happy man. He was shown on the news showing his players how to catch a fly ball and ground ball. He even showed them how to swing a bat. He was showing them “basic” of baseball. The basics of living a successful, fulfilling happy Christian life are daily Bible reading and prayer. If you do that every day, you're going to have the wisdom to handle the problems of life. Notice I didn't say fewer?
The amount of problems may not decrease but they will be different. You won't have to deal with personal drug or alcohol addiction. You won't get yourself an STD from another person. You won't be having an affair, coming home with lipstick or strange perfume on your collar. You won't have a gambling problem either.
If you haven't accepted Christ as your Savior, please say this simple, short prayer: “Father please forgive me of my sins. Help live according to Your ways. Guide through this world according to your will. Help me in my daily walk to show others the change you have made in my life and be bold in my faith. Thank you God. Amen.” If you said that prayer every angel in Heaven is rejoicing over you right now. Congratulation and welcome to the family of God. I look forward to visiting with you in Heaven, if we don't meet prior to that time.
