The Christian beliefs

Non Christians sometimes wonder why the Christians spend time worshipping and living lives in accordance to a God through a son called Jesus Christ. Not only this, but see it as weird following some "Unimaginable" or "Incomprehensible" doctrines. Who really came about this religion? And what is the basis of the Christian faith?

What do Christians believe in?

• God through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ (Luke2:3-35, Philipians 2:5-8, 1st Corinthians 15:1-4, Hebrews 1:3)
• Believe in the Holy spirit (John 14:16-17, 1st Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 1:13-14, 2nd Corinthians 3:18, John 3;3-6).
• Believe in the God head. (Deut 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Hebrews 1:1-13, Colosians 1:15-19).
• The sixty six books of the Bible which are inspired by God, without error in the works of the original writing, the complete revelation of God's will for the salvation of Men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and practice. (2nd Timothy 3:16, 2nd Peter 1:21, 1st Corinthians 2:13).
• Angel. (Isaiah 4:12-17, Ezekiel 26:11-19).
• Man. (Gen 1:26-27, 2:27, 26:5).
• Salvation. Salvation is received by faith alone. (Acts 4:12, John3:7, John 1:12).
• Sanctification. That is believers setting apart unto God. It is in three folds; positional at conversation, progressive on daily basis and ultimate in heaven. John17:7, 2nd Corinthians3:18, 7:1, Ephesians 4:24).
• The Church. The Church embracing all true believers, is the body and bride of Christ formed by the baptism of the Holy spirit (Ephesians 1:22-23, 1st Corinthians12:13, Phillipians1:1, Ephesans 4:3-10,30).
• Ordinances. The Ordinances of the church are the Lord's supper and water Baptism to be observed by the Church during the Present age. (Matthew 28:19, Luke 22:19-20, Acts8:36-38, 10:47-48, 16:32).
• Christian Life and service. Christians are called to a holy life of service and testimony in the power of the Holy spirit, which service include the pro[agation of the Gospel message to the whole world. (Acts 18:8, 1st Corinthians3:12-15, 2nd Corinthians 5:9-10).
• Spiritual Gifts. Those are bestowed activities on Christians as determined by the Holy spirit on believers and not by will or desire of Man for the edification of the Body of Christ and for service to the glory of God. (Romans 12:6, 1st Corinthians 12:4-11, Ephesians 4:11).
• The blessed Hope. The blessed hope of the church is the personal, imminent and pre-millennial second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ which is the rapture of the believers, both the Living and the dead. (John 14:1-3, 1sr Corinthians1 5:52, 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18).
• The tribulation. In the end times shall come a period of divine judgment upon the whole world. (Matthew 24:15-21, Jeremiah 30:7).
• Resurrection. The dead will eventually resurrect bodily at the end times, believers into everlasting blessedness and joy with their Lord, while unbelievers into Judgment and everlasting conscious punishment (John 11:12-26, Luke 16:19-26, Luke16:19-26, 23:42, 1st Corinthians 15:20-22).

Now that you've known the Christian beliefs, which one seems ridiculous? Based on the views of many taken from a survey, most see the existence of a supreme being as absurd, and even if He does exist and He is as powerful and mighty as we say, then is there the need for a son? Why would His son have to come and die for our sins? And so many other 'whys'.

contradictory issues?

There are a lot of contradictory issues that if discussed, the whole internet would not be sufficient enough to contain all. If this God exists and he is believed to create the Universe, should it be difficult for Him to have a divine Son even without a Mother? Should it sound so weird for Him to function as three persons? One thing non-Christians should know is that Christians work by faith and not by sight. Some of these things cannot be fully comprehensible, even by us the believers, but our Christian Life is very practical, as a Christian, you can feel the presence of the Holy spirit and God's Impact is very real and can be felt. So it is not really about Understanding from the outside but experiencing it practically from the inside. If you are an outsider, no matter how friendly or close you are to a man, you will never understand or know how his home or family is, until you are part of it.

1st Corinthians1:18-25 states "The message about the cross doesn't make any sense to unbelievers. But for those of us who are being saved, it is God's power at work. As God says in the scriptures, "I will destroy the wisdom of all who claim to be wise; I will confuse those who think they know so much". What happened to those wise people? What happened to those experts in the Scriptures? What happened to the ones who think they have all the answers? Didn't God show that the wisdom of this World is foolish? God was wise and decided not to let the people of this world use their wisdom to learn about Him. Instead, God chose to save only those who believe the foolish message, we preach. Jews ask for miracles, and Greeks want something that sounds wise. But we preach that Christ was nailed to a cross. Most Jews have problems with this, and most Gentiles think it is foolish. Our message is God's power and wisdom for the Jews and the Greeks that He has chosen. Even if God is foolish, he is wiser than everyone else, and even if God is weak, He is stronger than everyone else".
Well, this also may "suck" to you a non-christian, but one food for thought all of us should deeply consider is Magic. Do you think Magic exist? If you doubt it, then you need to see it for yourself. magic is a phenomenon which counteracts all natural forces/laws. There are witches and wizards who live with us and some of us even know them. Then one question we need to ask ourselves is, 'how did magic come to be?' why is it supernatural? Where does it come from? What is its source?

You want another food for thought? Nature!. Did we just come into existence? Do you really believe in the evolution theory of fossils to Ape and then Human? We should have been evolving to something else by now, don't you think? Have you considered the natural miracles of pregnancy and giving birth; weather and climate; healing capability of the body, existence of energy and matter? Did all these just come to be? If we attribute them to "Mother Nature" then you are having similar views with a spiritual person (not necessarily a christian), because you are already attributing and acknowledging a supreme being above man but instead of calling it "God" you are calling it 'Mother Nature'.

So my dear friends, much effort might be used to convince you on this issue. But God is still God and for you to understand Him better, you need to be connected to Him.
