In My Solitude

In the observance of the Holy Week, I would like to share some thoughts about reflection and self examination. May you all have a blessed week and enjoy the Easter.

Moment of Reflection

This week has been spiritually rewarding for me having attended some retreats and prayer sessions. These sessions have given me a lot of inspirations that allowed me to examine my inner self, reflect on my life, and deeply contemplate on different things. My lenten journey has truly been focused on close friends, loved ones, and activities that involve self-emptying and reaching out. It was so rewarding that after those retreats, I found myself feeling so light and relaxed.

In My Solitude

Since it is Lent, I think it is very timely to share with everyone what I did this week. In addition to attending the retreats and prayer sessions, I also spent time being by myself.

I felt spiritually refreshed after reflecting on my life during the stillness of the night, when my conversation with God uplifted my soul. It was so affirming that the presence of God was there when I poured my heart out. The quiet moment spent with Him allowed me to open up and release all my burdens to Him, and trust that whatever load I was carrying with me would be taken care of. It was a moment of solitude in a place where everything was serene and peaceful. The serenity allowed me to let my mind rest, be free of worries, and just concentrate on communicating with the Lord. That very moment, I let my soul speak to Him and allowed Him to guide me in everything I do. I let my tears out and got rid of the heavy burdens inside my chest. That was a great relief.

The Guiding Light

That night, watching the candle glow that lit up the darkened corner of the room helped me realize that there is always a beacon of hope, a guiding light that would lead us all back home when we tend to get lost. It's the light that would always guide our paths leading to a place where Jesus' loving arms are waiting to console us when we're heart broken and hurting. That same light has given me a deeper sense of understanding the profound message of the Lord that He is the only way, and we have to walk with Him. If we ever go astray, no one else in this world will take us back with open arms the way He will.

There are times when we become so vulnerable due to some circumstances that are happening in our lives that we tend to doubt if God is watching over us. This is a normal feeling as human beings. We just have to allow ourselves to spend time knowing Him, and our doubts will be vanished. Below is a music video link that will inspire us to see the brighter side of life, and will let us feel that God is always on our side.

Be inspired by listening to this song. May we all have a wonderful Easter celebration! God bless us all.

Note: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for always visiting my pages, for commenting, and for being very supportive of me ever since I joined Wikinut 3 months ago. I appreciate the warm welcome, the love, and friendship from you all. I have learned a lot and I truly found a family in you. Sadly, there are things that I need to work on and prioritize, and I have decided to temporarily leave the Wikinut community. I will miss you all and I hope that you will warmly welcome me again should I decide to come back. Buzz, thanks so much for all your support. You have made me discover what a great writer I am and I truly appreciate that. I have admired you for being a great writer, and I always will.

You will come back soon after Easter, refreshed and refilled with the same spirit that lifted the Wikinut community from the drudgery of their everyday lives what with your beautifully-written, wholesome articles. You say it's only temporary absence and that means till the holidays are over, or before. Take good care, love!
