I Swear I saw a ghost!

I have never believed any of the stories people tell about ghosts that appear in the school where I once studied and later on taught for years.

ghost stories

Stories have it that the land on which the school stands used to be a burial ground for people who died during the second world war. Those who used to live in the school dormitory narrated of incidents of headless nuns floating in mid-air or of the showers running when no one was in there, etc. I had heard too many of these stories that I felt like they were just products of the imagination. After all, the school is a very religious school run by nuns and I have never experienced first hand anything that would make me believe those stories.

many years in the school, no ghost

I studied in the school for many years and became a teacher there for even more years. Nothing. However, for some reason I decided to stop teaching in order to pursue another field which I’d been doing for the past five years already

I swear it was a ghost

Two Saturdays ago, I visited the school to get some documents. It was around 9 o’clock in the morning and I actually doubted if the office was open since the staff just arrived from their field trip a day before. While I was walking towards the office I saw a lady, obviously a college student, sitting on one of the lined chairs outside of the office. She was the only one seated there so I thought she must be waiting for the office to open. As I was approaching the place, I found out that the lady was no longer there. I looked everywhere, but could not find anyone around. If she had walked away, I could have seen her, but she just disappeared in a blink. I swear, I really saw that lady sitting all alone there. She had shoulder-length hair and was sitting on one of the empty seats. Have I just seen a ghost?

not ghost-friendly

I am one person who is not what we call "ghost friendly." I never go out of my way to hunt them nor do I welcome the idea of being visited by any of them. That is why I rarely have weird sightings like this. It was in fact the only closest experience I've had of seeing a person who suddenly disappears for no reason. Well, I do not intend nor wish to have another extraordinary experience of this sort ever again.

My writing will be about life in general. I'd been a teacher before I shifted to being a self-employed person. I happen to have several interests, like I'm a dog-lover, I love to dance and sing too.

I also believe in ghosts. I bet the ghost followed you to your house and now loves to keep you company, rarity. If I were you I wouldn't let a foot sticking out of the blanket...
