Guide to how you can earn extra money in your retirement, and tips on how you can earn extra money in your retirement

How to earn money in your retirement on line

Earning extra money in your retirement is now a necessity for many people.
Pensions do not seem to go up in line with inflation any more, and many living costs seem to be out of proportion.

There are some easy and simply ways in which you can extra money. Many retirees would like to take life a bit easier, and you can happily incorporate extra earnings opportunities
in your lifestyle.

Here are two tips which might just come in handy, and if you are retired you should consider.

Writing on line

Most seniors that I know enjoy reading, and have read countless numbers of books and
they enjoy telling you about them. Not only have they read the books, more often than not they have a keen knowledge on the subject and also the author.
Reading is still a favorite past time of many people, and before we buy a new book we still often like to read a review on that book.
Yes, each book has a short review on the cover, but is is really nice to be able to read
a review written by a fellow reader.

There are a number of great free lance writing sites available on the internet which accept book and author reviews. Wikinut is one of those sites, but there are also others.

Freelance writing sites share revenue with the person writing the on line article, so if you write an article (review) about the Sharpe series of books, the freelance writing site
will earn some money, and so will you.
This is a really easy way of earning some extra money from the comfort of your own home, and is very popular.
There are also specialist reviews sites which accept work from freelance writers, and
most of them come with an earnings opportunity.

I recently helped a retired friend to clear out her bookcase. She is an avid reader, and
over the years she had managed to collect hundreds of books. Many of them were in series by certain authors, and others were more specialized books such as gardening or cookbooks.
We decided to list her books on Ebay, and see what happened. After having photographed ten books, and written brief interesting reviews we went ahead and listed
our ten books. To be honest we were not to sure how this project would turn out, but after five days we got our results. Every single book had sold, and a bidding war had erupted over one of them. Great result!
So we went ahead, and listed another twenty books and that is how my friend became
an Ebay seller.
Once she had sold out of the books from her overcrowded book case, she started going around second hand shops and car boot sales to buy more books to list on Ebay.
Today, she is still a keen "Ebayer", and she sells books and other items she finds in
secondhand shops, or on car boot sales.

Without much effort, it can be relatively easy to earn money from the comfort of your own home. Actually, I can't think of anything better than sitting at home writing book reviews, or checking my Ebay account, with a cup of tea in my hand and my cat curled up on the sofa. If only I was retired . . .
