One of the easiest and quickest ways to reduce your stress as a parent is to say know when to say no to your child. Sometimes it can get overwhelming and you feel like you are drowning in activities.

It is okay to say no to some demands being made by your child, and explain to the child that you are exhausted, and whatever it is they are asking for will have to wait or pass for another day.

Set a routine

Try and re-arrange your activities and those of your child and see which activities can wait and those that have to be done immediately. When you have a proper routine set, you will not feel the pressure as much.

Get your child into a certain routine that works well with you and helps you to reduce on the stress around. You will need to do an evaluation of your daily activities and see what should be struck of the list and what should be maintained.

You must have some time off for yourself if you want to remain sane. When that time comes drop what you are doing and relax, it will help you feel better and energized.

Do what you like to do during your time off, and tell the children that it is your time off so they should not disturb you at such a time.

Make time for your spouse

Most times as parents, you can easily forget about your spouse and get taken up by the demands of your children. It is important that you set some time aside to spend quality time with your spouse and do all the silly things you like to do.

This is a good way of relaxing. Give the children to a babysitter and go out with your spouse and have some fun it helps, and also improves on your relationship with your spouse.
