Do you still have no idea what bridal gown to wear? Before you suffer from analysis paralysis, consider the following tips from one of the finest couturiers/designers - Edward Teng.

Choosing the Wedding Gown

Know the Basics
There are thousands of wedding gown styles and designs you can choose from. You can opt to wear a gown with traditional embellishments or a modern form-fitting one. But when deciding which is which, the wedding theme, motif, venue, and date should be considered. These basics should be taken into account when choosing a tailor-made dress.

Select your Gown
Visit a couturier of your choice. If you have a sample design, refer it to him for consultation - it's free. Take note of your couturier's suggestions on fit and style based on your age and body type. A wedding gown may look glamorous on a magazine model (and most do), but it may not look good on you.

Know the Gown Cost
Inform your couturier about your budget. He can change the materials or do less bead-work just to suit your budget without compromising the design of your choice. Do not spend all of your allotted money on the gown itself. Allot an amount for alterations and accessories. Expect to give an initial deposit of 50 percent, and pay the remaining balance after the gown is done.

Get Fitted for your Gown
It takes at least three to four months to design a gown. Final fitting should be at least two weeks before the wedding day. The last thing you should worry about on the wedding day is whether or not your gown fits.

Remember that your wedding is your special day. Make sure your gown makes you feel and look good.

Remember that most outlets do discount gowns from their previous collections - you may find a bargain there
