How Would You Feel Having A Saint In Your Family?

My family was informed that our uncle my mother's eldest brother is being primed for sainthood. Gives us mixed feelings. :)

My Family

My maternal grandparents were religious people. Not overly religious but they taught their children to be loving and to pray always. They lived during World War 2 and have seen and experienced the horrors of the war.
I guess because my uncle was the eldest he tried to keep them together and not to loose the faith. He was closer to the Virgin Mary because he was close to his mother.
My mother is the one on the far end right side in line with my grandfather next to the pregnant lady. They are 6 boys and 3 girls and they were named Fe, Ezperanza and Caridad ( my mom) or Faith, Hope and Charity

He is the eldest of 9 siblings, He would preach about the virgin Mary and our Lord even in far flung areas. Since he was a big man he sometimes could barely walk up the hills and mountains but the people would carry him using carts and hammocks . It would take 4-6 men sometimes more to carry him but they would do it without complaints just to have him go there and preach and teach the rosary. he would give out prayer books and rosaries to the people.
He started praying the morning rosary on a local radio station, every morning at 4:30 am he would go there to pray. When he died his younger brother after him continued. But now all the 3 brothers after him have died and sad no one is doing it now . Sometimes the station would play a recorded prayer.
My aunt the youngest of them all has a sound system on top of her house where she prays the rosary every 5 am in their subdivision, her children and grandchildren would be the ones who answers and takes over. They now play a recorded prayer. The people in the subdivision watch for it because not only do they start their day with a prayer it also helps them wake up early to get ready for school or work.

The Magazine

My uncle went to the same school I went to in high school. The University of San Agustin, Iloilo City, Philippines. They portrayed his life in their school magazine.
The things they have written here I have witnessed, his burial and the 2nd exhumation. And I also saw the miracle that happened to my nephew also a hit and run victim. I think he was the first miracle. He was 9 yrs old then. My cousin was so distraught because he was the only son. She prayed to my uncle and let her son wear or actually have my uncle's pants laid over him. He was in the ICU (intensive care unit) for a few months until she remembered. I think it took less than a month when my nephew was discharged. Now he is a tall fine young man, married with 1 child, His unconsciousness for 2 month in the hospital has not affected his brain or his physical appearance.

I would probably feel proud to have and uncle who might be a saint but also would make me conscious of the things I say or do.

I am so happy for u.. Paul has made us understand in the scriptures that once you are born again and live like Christ, you are a saint.. We need not die before we become one

Phil 4: 21 & 22 "21Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. 22All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar's household.…"

Eph 4: 11 to 13: "11And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.…"

So, I am very sure Amador your uncle was already a saint before he died. Thanks alot for the share
