To all the fathers and sons this could be the last fathers day you will ever have.

Happy Fathers Day

In August 1979 I lost my father and have spent all these years hidden from how I really feel so here goes. My father and I sad our last words in August 78 when he brought me back to Chattanooga to go to school here wher I knew everyone and didn't have to start over in a new school in Jacksonville if there was one for diabled children. On the day we got to my grandmothers which is where my mother was staying we hadn't spoken a dozen words the whole trip, he finally ask if this was what I really wanted and at the time it was. By the end of the school year I got a letter saying he was working long hours six sometimes seven days this letter was to let me know he would not be coming to get me for the summer as time went by I forgot about it and thought well maybe at christmas. It was early one August day in 79 I was on the phone with a friend and all around me poeple were hurrying doing things all at once my mom said when I got off the phone she needed to talk to me, I then told my friend I would call him back hanging up that phone and getting the news my father had died was the worst day of my life or so I thought it wasn't until I saw him in the casket that it hit me I'll never get to see him or tell him I love him again and that is the hardest thing in life, so if you are reading this and your dad is still a live to him ever chance you get how you feel before it's too late.

Meaningful plea, Ricky, thanks. We owe it to our parents to show our love and affection through words and deeds before it is too late. siva
