Parenting is a hardwork. Raising kids to adulthood and maintaining a good connection with teens can be challenging provided that parents are facing many pressures too. Although the priviledge of having kids are difficult task, it is very gratifying and rewarding. Here are some advise that may contribute on better parenting. And I should take this advice for myself.

Family Quality Time

I was seeing middle class families were worried about basic things in different levels like food and shelter. Wealthy families are also facing time problems concerning their kids due to their hectic business schedules and complex lifestyles.

Most of parents don't have time attending on their children needs. They rely on smart phones for communications instead of personal conversation. In result, children are desperately seeking outside for the comfort of home.

A Polish Proverb said, "You have a lifetime to work, but children are only young once." Children grew faster than you think. Children learn by themselves but they still need your guidance and filter whatever information that was fed to them.

Conversation is Listening and Response

Communication is a two-way process. Let your children know that you are interested on what is happening with them. When your child is talking, shut off the world. Lend your both ears with them if they are expressing their thoughts and taking about their concerns. Initiate conversation by sharing your thoughts and not by a question. This may help them open up if they knew they can relate to you.

If you are talking to childredn, focus on their emotions and not your own.Admit that it is OK to disagree and voice out their opinion. Children may find it fearing if you shout out, threaten and use defensive voice.

Reserve Time for your Children

Parents should maximize family time. Cooking, laundry and house chores are essential but often means less time for your children. Involving kids on chores will not only teach them valuable skills but also will serve as a bonding moment. Each day we spend with our kids are like investment to their future.

Observe giving time with your childred and you will see the difference. They will grew to a happy, responsible and guided adult.

"Embrace your beautiful mess of a life with your child. No matter how hard it gets, do not disengage. Do something—anything—to connect with and guide your child today. Parenting is an adventure of the greatest significance. It is your legacy."

this is SO TRUE kids need their parents to guide them in the right direction in life without that they go off the scale of destruction

This is WHY kids are getting into SO MUCH trouble these days cause they don't have the guidance they need.
