Christians pay attention

There is definitely no reason why a church, an organization that claims to represent Jesus Christ, should be leading this charge.

Christians pay attention

Some children practice extreme selfishness, while others show love. They say that if we pay attention, we can learn a lot from a child, even though we as adults may not agree with that philosophy. I am sure many of you have observed a child that would not share their toys with another child and we as parents would try to encourage them to do the right thing. I have seen situations where a child (on their own initiative) step up to the plate and offer a total stranger some of what they are eating. How many of us today can say that they will do that?

The book of first John tells us, “Let's not just talk about love; let's practice real love. This is the only way we'll know we're living truly, living in God's reality. It's also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves. God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we're free of worry on Judgment Day, our standing in the world is identical with Christ's. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life, fear of death, fear of judgment, is one not yet fully formed in love.”

The Planned Quran-burning in Florida on September 11th 'as some sort of symbol' is nothing short of blasphemy. There is no reason whatsoever why anybody should be involved in the degradation of someone else's religious beliefs. There is definitely no reason why a church, an organization that claims to represent Jesus Christ, should be leading this charge. Christians are supposed to be tolerable to sinners, regardless of what we think about the sin, the human (or humans) are all God's children and should be treated as such.
