It is important to choose the right seniors residence.

Choosing the right seniors residence

The senior residence that I am living in has its good points and it’s not so good points. I have a patio door and a really long window in the living room. I have a curtain on the patio door but nothing on the window in the living room. By the way it is three years later and I still do not have a curtain on that window. I just haven’t found the money to get a curtain or a blind.

Curtains and windows

The good point is that I love to look out the window when I am sitting down and watching TV. I get a little view from the main street so I can see the cars and buses passing by; but the view I love the most are the trees. There are three huge maple trees and my favorite, an evergreen tree. I look out the window winter or summer I love the bare trees and of course the trees in bloom.

However, I just noticed when I went onto my balcony (I am on the second floor) that the evergreen is bare on the bottom and a few branches are hanging down. That is so sad because it is such a beautiful tree.

Evergreen trees

We have been having a lot of wind and lightening lately and I believe that is what happened. Lightening hit the evergreen that is why the tree branches were destroyed by the wind. The tree is still standing and still beautiful. Evergreen trees remind me of Christmas of course.

Trees falling due to the weather is common in Montreal. A whole big tree fell down in front of my cousin’s house and a tree was struck by lightning and destroyed in a nearby park. It is so sad for this to happen when these trees add such beauty to Montreal.

Carol, thanks for sharing this article. It sounds like you have a nice home. I love trees too. We have a lot of trees where we live. We are in a suburb of Cleveland.
