What is Ramadan

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic logbook and the time of fasting for Muslims. Fasting is one of the five mainstays of Islam; the others are an admission of confidence, five day by day supplications, Zakah (almsgiving) and Hajj (journey to Makkah).

Ramadan starts upon the locating of the moon, which is generally controlled by the Crescent Committee of Canada.

Why Muslims Fast

Fasting in Ramadan is a fundamental mainstay of Islam that helps Muslim develop nearer to the One God, Allah. As indicated by the Qur'an "Fasting is recommended for you as it was endorsed to those before you, with the goal that you may learn poise". Fasting, which is perceived for its wellbeing, profound and mental advantages, is considered by Muslims as a way to enhance their ethical characters and gives a chance to an otherworldly reestablishment.

Reason for Fasting

The genuine reason for fasting is not to make us ravenous and parched, or to deny us some of our solace and accommodations yet to be aware of Allah. It is to do one's best to live by His charges and to stay away from His preclusions, dread of Allah, love of Allah, genuineness in confidence, and evade the noncompliance to Allah. Fasting is an imperceptible demonstration. Just Allah and the individual who is fasting know whether he or she is fasting or not. Fasting instructs how to control and train our cravings.

Amid fasting we figure out how to state "no" to things that are otherwise reasonable and great, yet are illegal amid fasting. When one figures out how to state "no" to what is for the most part reasonable, then one can without much of a stretch control oneself to stay away from that which is illegal. Through fasting we taste—to some degree—the agony and enduring of the individuals who are poor and dejected. Fasting shows compassion and sensitivity, and it takes away some of our narrow-mindedness and narcissism.

How Muslims Fast

Muslims fast from early first light to nightfall consistently (roughly 17 hours a day). The fast obliges Muslims to go without sustenance, drink, conjugal relations and sick direct amid the fast.

Who Fasts

Fasting in Ramadan is obligatory on all physically and rationally sound and develop Muslims. Those exempted from fasting are the wiped out, old, pregnant and discharging ladies and explorers. Pregnant and discharging ladies and explorers make up the missed days by fasting at a later time.

Toughest Day During The Month

The day of fasting starts with an early morning dinner before sunrise and closures at dusk. The night exercises incorporate the customary breaking of the fast more often than not with dates and water, the dusk petition taken after by supper (IFTAR). Muslims would then go to the mosque for congregational petitions in which no less than one-thirtieth of the Qur'an is presented. The assemblage would have tuned in to the recitation of the total Qur'an before the month's over.
