Bugsy has lived a single life,
Without a companion rabbit
Always around my feet, in and out his door
Where was he, didn't he love me anymore?

I saw him close to the fence
He sat there far too long
I saw him from my kitchen window
Why was he always gone?

Bugsy Alone, At Home!

Bugsy lives in style in a two-story roomy home
However, it hadn't occurred to me, he must feel alone.
I wondered why he was spending time huddled against the fence
I followed him across the yard, Bugsy had a romance!

Bugsy had found a lady friend, not at all like him
She looked as if a paint can had toppled over her
Black and white, enormous ears, but obviously in love
Nose to nose, cuddled close but trapped behind the fence.

Bugsy Camping Out!

Fence slat removed, she bounded quickly through the gap
They ran around each other and chased across the lawn
I grabbed "Dolly" up, she was much too strong for me
She fought like a tiger from my grasp, to hold her was too hard.

I quickly realized my next appointment would be with the vet
I fought with Dolly for a day or two but managed to pick her up
When she returned she had to stay away from ardent Bugsy
Once again they were nose to nose, but obviously in love.

And They Live Happily Ever After!

They sleep together, they eat together, they romp around and play
Bugsy thinks so much of Dolly, he waits while she eats first
I think their romance should be recorded on the Wikinut pages
I realize rabbits have a life to live and hopefully not trapped in cages.

Not many writers stopped to read my first Bugsy Part One page
I should have entitled this whole episode with a different name
"Bugsy Siegel" would have brought more Wikinutters to my story
But two little rabbits, living with me, just don't have that kind of glory.

Bye y'all!

Aha, Steve: I took Dolly to the vet and then she went into quarantine, so there won't be any pitter-patter of little rabbits' feet.

Maybe pogo would have made a difference if you let him intervene? Like you've dressed him up like a rabbit? But no grown rabbit that big, isn't it?:(
