Being a single mom is not easy. But with the help of your true friends and with faith in God, nothing is too tough.

Single Mom

I just got out from the hospital. I’ve been bored after 3 days of confinement. I’m used of going to work everyday. Of course I can’t do anything at the hospital when I had my left hand being tied up of needle and hose of a dextrose.
Now, I’m bored of doing nothing.
I was thinking to write to eliminate my boredom. And here I am writing.
At firsts, I don’t know what to write. What the topic would be about. But since it’s my first entry, let me tell you a little about myself and experiences.
I’m 36 year old, a single mother, raising an 11 year old boy. I’ve been a single mother for 6 years now. At first, it’s been hard to raise a kid. I have to work double time to cope-up with our financial needs. Got to manage my time between my kid and my work. Got to tighten my pocket so that my income will fit in our daily needs. Go to balance everything.
Time came that I get used to everything and as a single mother, I find it easy.
With prayers and faith, and the help of my closest friends I was able to survive the hardest part of being a single parent.
Prayers and faith in the Lord helps me so much. It makes me strong. It makes me wise. It gives me hope. It makes me think positively.
And from those times, I was able to identify my true friends; friends who will always be in my side even in the lowest part of my life.
I’m saddened for those “friends” who left me when I need them most. We had a good time when my life is still in its best. I never thought that they’ll left me.
But then, everything has reasons why these things happened to me. It makes me stronger and wiser. And prepares me for a harder ways of life.
Now, I don’t have much of material things and earning an amount that just right on my budget. But still, I’m happy of what I have and will have. As long as my son is there to love me and God as my guidance and protector, with friends whom I can lean on; nothing will be too tough for me.

I am a single mum and not by choice but by betrayal and know what it is like.
Learnt that in this world, if you want something to give your child, slog and provide it on your own and never take help from others unless it is absolutely essential.
I was left with no money in hand and piling debt and I came out of it successfully. Lost friends, many of them, doublecrossers too and learnt if they go, too bad, their loss and moved on to make my own dream come true.....

Life is tough at times and as they say - when the going gets tough, the tough get going! We come alone and leave alone. When few give up on us, it is time for others to step in with a better deal! siva
