So as a Christian let me ask this question, how come Jesus Christ was crucified for helping others, the same way Mother Teresa did?

An example for others to follow

Every so often someone comes along that makes such an impact on you that it is difficult to forget them, why would you want to anyway. Mother Teresa was that kind of person and even though she died in 1997, her memory lives on. If she had lived she would have been one hundred years now, a celebration that will not miss her adopted country of India. I would venture to say that Mother Teresa was one of those kinds of individuals that cared more for others than she cared for herself, a case that was more for empathy than sympathy.

In the book of Luke, we see Jesus extending himself when, “The men showed up before Jesus and said, "John the Baptizer sent us to ask you, 'Are you the One we've been expecting, or are we still waiting?'" In the next two or three hours Jesus healed many from diseases, distress, and evil spirits. To many of the blind he gave the gift of sight. Then he gave his answer: "Go back and tell John what you have just seen and heard: The blind see, The lame walk, Lepers are cleansed, The deaf hear, The dead are raised, The wretched of the earth have God's salvation hospitality extended to them. "Is this what you were expecting? Then count yourselves fortunate!"

Unfortunately when Jesus Christ came to this earth, many did not appreciate him for who he was or what he was here for, they seemed more interested condemning him for who he claimed to be. It is nice to see that Mother Teresa has been welcomed with such an open heart, so much so that some are even suggesting that she be named a saint. So as a Christian let me ask this question, how come Jesus Christ was not accepted for what he was, then crucified for helping others, yet Mother Teresa is being accepted for trying to do the same thing?

Good question and well, even if I do not have the answer for you....God knows and for that, I take comfort.
Good article, thanks.
God bless.
