What kids can do in cold weather
Soon it will be October, and then the cold weather will hit us in the blink of an eye. It may snow, and lots of schools around my area call off school if it is too cold, or it snowed too much overnight. Your kids will be stuck at home. If it is snowy and the kids won't get frostbite, they can play in the snow. They should only be a limited amount of time outdoors when it is cold. The rest of the day your kid is left indoors and complains of being bored. I am going to give you some ideas of what your kids can do while stuck in the house.
Playdough and cookie cutters
You can have a light rolling pin on hand and cookie cutters. The kids can use playdough or clay and have the kids roll them out into a flat whatever shape they wish. .Then they should use cookie cutters and make lots of shapes. They will think they are like mom making cookies. Or look up an interesting recipe where you can make a dough out of salt, and several other things that you can put the cookie cutter shapes or figurines in the oven. And your kids can keep the designs.
New, silly and dances from mom's time
Put on your kids favorite music and dance and make up new dances. See how silly they can be. Or download music from your generation when you were a teenager and danced at school dances, Then teach the kids the dances that you did as a teenager.
Kids pool in the kitchen
If you have a kitchen that can fit kids small pool and throw rugs, you can move you can put the kiddie pool in the kitchen filled with warm water. Put the swimsuits on the kids and have them play in the water!
