She faced a lot of problems in buying seeds, doing cultivation and in selling her farm products in the market.

She is following traditional methods in selection of seeds

It is a small village. It is near the hill. The poor woman Gangamma living in the village. She is not a educated. She is depending on the field. She is a hard worker.

The woman Gangamma has been practising agriculture a job which generally men alone do. She belongs to Gannavaram village in Yemmiganur of Kurnool district. She has 4 acres of land. It is black soil of barren land. Not easy grow any crop in the field. When it rained, they could grow white Jowar and millet. Her life has changed since when she joined as a member in Deccan development society.

She faced a lot of problems in buying seeds, doing cultivation and in selling her farm products in the market. She could not understand anything in the process. She had always borne the loss by growing one crop or the other. When she joined in the society, she could produce the required seeds for her crop.

She minimise the expenditure in cultivation, prepared the manure required for her crops and yielded a good quantity. Now she is following conventional methods of cultivation. With limited water resources, she should grow redram, Jowar, millets, green gram, horse gram, foxtail do not consume much water.

She is preparing biofertilizers by using cow dung, neem leaves and Margo bask available in our fields. Due to these biofertilizers, we could reduce diseases and increase the soil fertility. She could produce the food grains required for her family in addition to preserving the seeds for the next crop.

She is following traditional methods in selection of seeds. She conserves the seeds by adding ash and neem leaves, so that they can be protected from insects. She is following mixed crop cultivation so that we can produce more and earn more. She is exchanging seeds with one another and treat her and as mother god. She spends most of her time in their farms rather than at home.
