This is a poem written by my seven year old daughter. Please let me know what you think.

My daughter is aware of my writing on internet. She saw some of the stories I wrote, stories which I told them as bedtime stories. One day, she came up with this cute little poem in the car. I was not able to remember the words so she volunteered to put in or paper so that I can publish it. This is what she wrote, please let me know what you think. Try it with your children and see if they like it as much as my daughter!

To get the full effect of the poem, you need to use your five fingers. I have added the different names of the fingers so you can see what she did with the fingers as she recited the poem.

The Poem

There once lived five people.

One was I (pointing at thumbkin),

one was you (pointing at pointer),

one was he (pointing at tall man),

one was she (pointing at ring man)

and one was it (pointing at pinkie).

Once I was lost,

you went to find I,

He went home, she went to work.

It went to the jungle.

When you found I, he, she and it went missing.

Then you found every one.

if she is seven
my Lord I should be ashamed and
must go to heaven,
she is such a lovely one
who can compose
as no one could
I do suppose when we were seven

please kiss her
on her forehead for me
and to read a second one from her
Tell her
I 'M ready
