If a desire to extend to an orphan the opportunity to have and be in a family is bizarre then there should be more of it, if anything is bizarre, it is the hoops one has to jump through to see it realized. We live in a time when our world is populated by so many orphans whom suffer in so many ways because an absence of family and they are lost in anonymity. Children are a blessing and they all should be accorded the chance to grow up in the security of a loving, nurturing family. How sad for mankind that it has become more convenient to kill them before they are born than to take them in, embrace them and realize the blessings of their life.

Pencil Minstrel above has expressed my thoughts better than I could myself. Adoption is not bizarre. It gives a child, any child opportunities in life. Any parent may find themselves faced with the negatives above. In many countries adoption is a rewarding experience. All parenting has it's risks, but loving a child makes it worthwhile.

Adopting a child can be risky too. He may not grow into a person you wanted him to be.

But the original parents rights and recognition should not be forgotten and kept secret from the adopted child. And while writing the parents names the original parents should be mentioned. Thank you for nice sharing.

We have adopted three children and I am so grateful that we were blessed to be able to do this. They made our family complete. Love my adopted children and my birth children equally!!!!
