Why Does a Baby Cry in The Time of Child Birth?
When a new baby is born, the baby cries. The parents feel very happy about their child then being born. But this cry, having a happiness emotionally, also has a very important biological importance. Well, let me explain to you how.
The First Cry
A new born baby when born, starts his survival of life, with a full throated cry.
Well, this full throated cry of the baby is very essential for it to survive. It is during its first cry, the breathes the first air into its lungs, which were inactive before the cry and remained as collapsed balloons.
It is something to note that the blood of the baby is sent from the right side of the heart to the left side of the heart. The foetus does not send its blood to the lungs for purification as the blood in the foetus comes from the mother via the umbreical cord.
When the baby is born, the tiny opening that is present in the heart closes and the blood then flows to the heart. But if this opening fails to close properly, a “BLUE BABY” is born.
