We can not deny, there are so many aspects affect people's welfare. Unfortunately, our government sometime forget to .........................
- I love my Country
- The Government Sometimes Forget to ....
- Water, Where are you.....
- How hard to find....
- Need Strong Commitment
I love my Country
My country is a tropical land with thousands of mountains within its area. It consists of big and small islands. There are Sumatera , Java , Bali , Sulawesi, Irian and Kalimantan as big islands. Others, like Bali, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara, Ambon, and so on are categorized as small islands. Within those islands, there are so many various cultures and languages. Indonesia are really rich with such things.
The Government Sometimes Forget to ....
My country also have hectares of timber and mining resources within those islands. Nevertheless, its main economical resource is come from farming as well as fisheries. Timber, mining, farming and fisheries are located in the corner areas. And Its big cities provides a lot of facilities for tradings and offices to support those natural timber and mining activities from marketing side. It will be perfect if both side of economical activities run in balanced situation. Unfortunately, sometimes the government forget to provide similar chance of economic growth to both sides. Even, there are better facilities in big cities than they are in corner areas.
Water, Where are you.....
Let give our attention to only one aspect of human life, that is clean water supply. Water is so important for our life. No one creatures will alive without it. In big cities, water supply is serviced by a water company and every single family will get their water supply from automatic pump. If you need water, you just turn the water pump on and you will get clean water.
How hard to find....
Unfortunately, such facility frequently can not be found in the corner area or in village area. It will not be a big problem when you live in the village where you can find water easily. People will soon get an idea to fulfill their own water supply by building a waterwheel in their area. Recently, because there is no water supply from Indonesia Water Company, people from a small village in West Java built their own waterwheel made of bamboo and used plastic bottles. The used plastic bottles are functioned as water pourings and drain the water to a water channel.
But, what happen if you live in a village without any water resource near by. In Musuk Village, Boyolali, Center Java, you must walk down for 2 kilometers through a cliff in order to get clean water. You must walk to the abyss and you will find a small spring in a cave. People from Karangasem village, Purbalingga, West Java, must go to a small reservoir with 3 kilometers distance. In Sarangan village, people must walk 1 kilometers looking for clean water.
Need Strong Commitment
The above are examples of how hard villagers get clean water as their daily need. Government commitment to fulfill public facilities should be very strong, and not only providing facilities for its middle and upper economic people. Balance life between lower and upper must be built in order to create more harmonious living. Water supply is only one aspect toward harmonious. We still have more aspects. Hardly to say, poverty without clean water supply is worst living.
