Pregnancy after miscarriage

After a miscarriage better not wait long for a new pregnancy, you should try to reconceived within six months. This conclusion arrived at Aberdeen University researchers coordinated by Dr. Sophinee Bhattacharya. The study was published in the British Medical Journal (August 2010).

After a miscarriage how long to wait before trying again to get pregnant ? According to the new study after a miscarriage, especially if you have exceeded 35 years, there are more chances of completing a new pregnancy if you try to conceive within six months.

The conclusions of researchers in Scotland are at odds with the current guidelines of the World Health Organization, WHO recommends it to wait at least six months before trying to conceive if you have experienced a miscarriage. According to Bhattacharya Sophinee these guidelines are based on statistics related to Latin America, countries where women generally tend to have children relatively young age. The expert explained that the WHO guidelines, however, may remain viable for people in developing countries.

The researchers analyzed data collected in twenty years, from 1981 to 2000, relating to 31mila women who have suffered a miscarriage and subsequently became pregnant. Looking at the data revealed that 85 percent of women who became pregnant within six months after the abortion have since given birth to a healthy child, the percentage fell to 73 percent in women who have waited more than two years before trying to conceive.

Scholars explain that with advancing years are more likely to have trouble conceiving. Over 40 years has a 30 per cent more likely to miscarriage, that number rises to 50 percent in those women who have reached 45 years of age. According to the researchers, after a certain age, any delay in groped a conception could decrease the likelihood of having a healthy baby.

If a certain point of view the conclusions of the new study are not entirely wrong you still consider that every miscarriage is a case in itself. Every person reacts differently before an abortion and must also take into consideration that there may be other problems to solve before groped a new pregnancy, any decision must be taken in consultation with the advice of your doctor.

I can identify with this article as I suffered a miscarriage and got pregnant a month later with twins although only one made it to the final delivery.
It does help in not getting depressed due to a miscarriage.
