The Bonners Ferry Church of the Nazarene
If you live in Bonners Ferry, Idaho area and want a good church home The Bonners Ferry Church of the Nazarene has something for every believer who desires to worship and get a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
Sunday school begins at 9:30 am, then a fellowship at 10:30 am, and finally worship begins at 11:00 am on Sunday mornings. There is a Thursday night bible study that starts at 7:00 pm. On the first and third Sundays, the church comes out to Moyie Springs (which is just down the street from the church) for a fellowship in the community at 5:30 pm. Every third Friday of the month, there is even a game night to get involved in.
One area of particular interest is the pastor's Sermon in the Sack. This is for pre-school children in the church, but the older children, as well as the adults can learn something from this special sermon. The pre-school-age children go up to the front of the church where the pastor is given a sack with one item in it and the pastor makes a ten-to-fifteen minute sermon based on the item in the sack.
Every third Sunday of the month, every one brings one food item to church where everyone gathers for a potluck after church services as a way to fellowship and get to know everyone better and have a better relationship with other believers and Jesus Christ.
About two or three times a year, the church will hold a neighborhood block party in the community of Moyie Springs with a dinner of usually hot dogs, pork sandwiches, several kinds of chips, lots of fruit. They even brought out a fun house for the children to jump around in. They may even provide a volleyball game, or a slip-n-slide for the children. And the adults can let the children play and socialize with each other.
For those who are hard-of-hearing, there are even listening devices so they don't have to miss out on the pastor's message. For parents of very young children, there is a nursery next to the sanctuary with a window and speaker so even they don't have to miss out when their sweet little children get a little to fussy.
Every Halloween, they hold a harvest party on the 31 for parents who don't wish to take their children trick-or-treating.
So, the Bonners Ferry Church of the Nazarene has something for everyone of all ages. Come and enjoy services!
