A thoughtful gift for the man in your life

Are you going out with a long time boyfriend or maybe a blind date this valentines or, it could be just any date, at any time. I have a great idea for you too present to your date.

Men do think with their stomachs

I am sure a lot of people are going out on dates with a boyfriend, their husbands or even a first time date tonight, since it is Valentines Day. Most men love a woman that can cook. Why not surprise him with a very fast recipe, that I am sure most of you already have the ingredients for in your refrigerator and pantry.

All you have to do is make my easy, no flour and absolutely delicious peanut butter cookie recipe. There is one more step you need to add to this recipe, if you would like to make the cookies just a bit more special.

After you drizzle the chocolate frosting on your cookies, add some sprinkles. Be very heavy handed with the sprinkles. As they dry and you start to pack the cookies, some of the sprinkles will come off.

Wrap it up

I am using a Christmas tin but, it only has candy on it and it looks masculine, so I thought it would be fine. I placed the cookies in muffin paper holders. If you don't have that, then just lay some tissue paper in the tin.

Just putting a bow on the tin would be nice but, to make it just a bit more thoughtful, I would wrap the tin up with some nice paper and a bow.

If you don't have a tin, use a box and wrap the gift.

Start your date on the positive

I don't think any man would decline this pretty package. Keep it manly, no flowers, hearts and such.

As he presents you with flowers or candy. You will have a gift to give back, he will be surprised and delighted. I hope your date will be a great one and that you want him to be thinking of you, as he is eating your baked cookies, after your date is over.

If he likes these cookies, please try my delicious cake. Maybe for the next date.

Thank you Martin for your kind words. That's how my grandpa was, My nana told him, if they get married he does the cooking (He was a Navy cook) and she would do the cleaning, made for a very wonderful relationship. My grandpa was my first cooking teacher.

For sure we eat with our eyes.. for me the taste of food is greatly enhanced by making it visually appealing. I do the cooking at home and this is something I pride myself on.
This gift would also be great for women too, even more impressive for them to have a man that cooks - at least that is what my wife says.

I agree mark, I didn't mean to seem sexist. LOL
I just know most men have brought me candy or flowers for a date and I gave them nothing. Nothing better than a man that cooks though. I will put it right next to my hubby, whom does the vehicle work, the carpentry, the plumbing, electrical work, the land scaping and the dishes at times.

Well Lovely, no he is a Leo. I have had my share (my life, my count) of men and most think exactly with their stomachs. I am not saying other things might not factor in but, let me tell you what my husband said to a friend one day. Gene just told Dan that he really liked me (This was about 18 years ago) and Dan's response was "She is so cool, she is the type of women you take home to Mama, she loves sports, she is fun in the bedroom, she can drink any man under the table if she wanted too and most importantly, she is a hell of a cook!". It is like he says, us men want very little, we are simple people, basically. I agree. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

Hi Athena, I always make a double batch of these cookies. Matter of fact, I am making some right now, as I am sending my 26 year old daughter a care package today, as she and her fiance live 2000 miles away from me. These were always her favorite cookies. When I ship these cookies to her, I use a empty pringles can, they then don't crush. I plan on showing how I pack my boxes to ship in the next week. I just thought I would let you in on one of my secrets before then.LOL
