A Valentine Forever
The moment you were born, with your deep blue eyes, and silver blond hair, you captured my heart in that special way that only a baby can. As you grew, you became even more precious, your vulnerability bound me to you, and I knew I would nurture and protect you for ever, my very special son.
I didn’t know what to expect, but you and I learned together how to cope, over the years. The doctors didn’t know, and none of the baby books helped, because you always have been, and always will be, unique. Phil bringing you up taught me to be more patient, and tolerant, and to understand, or at least to try to, the needs of others, especially yourself who cannot speak.
You are truly unique
You are my Peter Pan, you always will be, and after the difficulties you have faced in life, yet come out the other side smiling, you are undoubtedly my inspiration to succeed at whatever I might try to do. You don’t understand hypocrisy, cruelty, unkindness, and other negative things in life. You only understand love, and you give back as much of it as you receive. Your smile would charm the birds from the trees, and your bear hugs, are priceless, because they are spontaneous, and I know they come straight from your heart
My life changed when you were born
You are a very special person Phil, and you have enriched my life so much. We have had tough times, but they are behind us now, thanks to your true grit and determination. Every Valentine’s Day that comes round, I always think of you, so forgive a Mum who likes to send her beautiful son a Valentine Card. Why do I do it? Because you will always be my very special Valentine.

Absolutely stunning article, Carol. Lots of love to your Phil. My son is called Phil too and he has disabilities. I'm so proud of him - just like you are proud of YOUR Phil. Congrats on a well-deserved star page - love the doggie cartoon!
